Week 5 Results

14 10 2009

It seems to be a theme for me losing three games every week because it happened again. I went 11-3 to put my overall record at 35-9. Cincinnati won over Baltimore, Atlanta won over San Francisco, and Seattle over Jacksonville. Those were the ones that I didn’t fare well in week 5.

Week 5 headlines

  • Broncos stay undefeated (5-0) after beating the Patriots in Denver
  • The Steelers defense is not what it was last year, number one in total defense a year ago. They can’t seem to keep their opponent from scoring yet still hold on and win
  • Another surprise team are the Cincinnati Bengals defeating the Ravens in Baltimore are 4-1 after losing to the broncos in week 1
  • Miami is the master of the wildcat, they are averaging 33minuets of time of possession on offense
  • I heard during the Broncos game the announcers calling the Denver offense when running the “wildcat” they called it “wild horses” thought that was interesting
  • Miles Austin, Who? WR for the Dallas Cowboys had 250 receiving yards against the Chiefs, which set a Cowboys record for receiving yards

Week 4 results

7 10 2009

I went 11-3 again this week.  and my overall record is 24-6. My loses this week were Baltimore losing to New England, Tennessee to Jacksonville, and Green Bay to Minnesota.

Couple week 4 headlines

  • Brett Farve dominated Monday Night Football and made the Packers think about why they let Brett Farve go. Now they just hope he doesn’t win a super bowl without them.
  • The surprising Broncos went to 4-0 defeating the Cowboys
  • Steelers Rashard Mendenhall took over at RB for the injured Parker and had a stand out game which had to make Steelers fans happy.
  • The 49ers are 3-1 and still don’t have their top draft pick signed in Micheal Crabtree.
  • Can anyone stop the New Orleans Saints?
  • What happened to the best team in the AFC last year? The Titans are 0-4

Week 3 Results

29 09 2009

My overall record for week 3 was 13-3 my three loses were Houston losing to Jacksonville, Pittsburgh losing to Cincinnati and Tennessee losing to the NY Jets.

  • A couple of thoughts about week 3. There are seven teams that are 3-0. The Denver Broncos being one of them! What a surprise for Bronco fans. After a miserable off-season with coaching changes and players being traded. Josh McDaniel’s has this team 3-0 heading home in week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. Lets see how tough theses Broncos are against the boys. The other notable teams are the Giants, Vikings, Saints, Jets, Colts, and Ravens.
  • One player over the off-season we heard none stop talk about weather he was coming back or retiring (once again) maybe made the play of his career, Brett Favre throwing a touchdown pass with 8seconds left in the 4th quarter to Greg Lewis to win the game. Vikings 27-24
  • The Vick experiment gets off to a slow start, he was involved in eleven plays was 0-2 passing with no really upside to look forward to in week 4. Its going to take some time for Mr. Vick
  • The Detroit Lions beat the Washington Redskins 19-14 for their first win since December 23, 2007.
